Hate to say it.....but the Living Room TV is a feature wall of a home whether you want to admit it or not. Todays world focuses around entertainment & technology and your home's primary TV is pretty much front and center. Here are some ways to dress up and style that wall.
#1 - HIDE THE TV
Turn your TV into a piece of artwork rather than a souless black hole when off. Utilize a Samsung The Frame TV (an actual framed TV that has artwork displayed when TV is off). Or frame your TV with an actual frame from Decor TV frames . Have a bit more budget? Look at Media Decor's Moving Art Screen or their Eclipse Art Lift. Turning your TV into a beautiful piece or art or mirror is the easy way to upgrade your TV wall.
#2 - ADD INTEREST ON WALL
The simplest way to add a bit of interest is to paint the TV wall an accent color. Have a bit more budget? Add a wallpaper - it can be a colorful print or pattern, or even a simple neutral. Wallcovering will add texture and interest. Accent Paint will brighten and add color.
#3 - ADD ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS
Add architectural elements that are cohesive with the rest of your home styling & decor and home architecture style. In a farmhouse or rustic - add some rustic wood barnboard, shiplap or tongue-n-groove detailing. In a modern home a floating console under the TV or some wood tambour paneling would look super sleek. In a traditional home, contact your local cabinetry company or trim carpenter and add some flanking wood built-in shelves around your TV. If you want something super easy & budget friendly simply flank your TV with floating shelves on either side and decorate with family photos, candles & plants.
#4 - CREATE A FEATURE WALL
This is the most complicated and will most likely require a licensed contractor; but if you really want a WOW - making your TV wall the main feature wall of your home will really provide drama and impact. Add a fireplace (electric, gas or biofuel - depending on what works best for your home). Electric is generally the easiest. Clad your new wall in stone, porcelain slabs, wood, tile, venetian plaster or whatever you desire. Think about the rest of your home's style and architecture and choose the best material based on that.
Remember small changes can make a big impact! Happy decorating !

In this post I really liked these ideas, especially how simple changes like paint or shelves can make a TV wall look stylish and cozy. When I was working on a design project during my studies, I remember using Qualitative data dissertation help to manage my time and still focus on creative ideas like this. The tips feel easy to try and very practical. It shows that small design choices can really change the feel of a room. Nice post
