As Designers...we attend many markets. It is at these markets that manufacturers & vendors showcase the latest designs that will be unveiled to the public within the next 6 months to a year.
At the last major market (Highpoint - Fall 2023) I noticed many manufacturers were incorporating traditional elements back into their designs & collections. I believe that you will see a resurgence of many classic elements within the next upcoming year in the home furnishings marketplace.
You will see more gilded items, ornately carved woods and more intricately detailed pieces in the next year incorporated along modern and contemporary furniture. I am not saying that the modern look will wane; but I am saying that the glamour and elegance of classic styling will be woven into the more stark modern looks. Interiors will be "warmed up" with the addition of traditional elegant pieces and accessories.
